W2ENY HiFi MIC ELEMENT My custom design replaces Heil's HC-4 or HC-5 element

*** THE HC-4 and HC-5 ELEMENT ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE FROM HEIL*** I've been experimenting with MANY headsets over the last year, I had previously used a stock Heil headset til now. This element far exceeds mic specs for optimum use with todays radio technology.

Aside from the other headsets I would rather op with, I designed an application for a direct solder in replacement that brings Hi-Fi audio and new life to my old Heil headset.

The Headset shown is for install illustration only.

This is an FET amplified electret element, you may have to mod your Heil adapter cable to pass DC to the new element.
Icom - Remove pin 1 series cap and solder direct
Yaesu - Add supplied resistor from pin 2 to center conductor
Kenwood - Add supplied resistor from pin 5 to center conductor
TenTec - Add supplied resistor from pin 4 to pin 1

Bias r esistor is included!!!
